    West Bloomfield powered to a 10-2 boys hockey victory over Madison Heights Bishop Foley United on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Lakeland Ice Arena in Waterford.

   West Bloomfield improved to 11-9-0 with the victory.

   The Lakers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one period and expanded the lead to 5-2 after two periods. Five goals in the third period by the Lakers under the game with the mercy rule with 4:20 left.

 

   Junior Dylan Mazur and senior Will Bowen both had two goals and an assist in the victory. Freshman Evan Pelkey had two goals. Freshman Ryan Denawetz had a goal and three assists. Junior Shane Boisvenu had a goal and two assists. Senior Isaac Fertig and senior John Paul Ayar both had a goal and an assist in the win.

   Freshman Noah Sternberg got the win in goal, making 17 saves.

 

 

Bishop Foley United includes players from Royal Oak Shrine Catholic, Clarkston Everest Collegiate, and Macomb Lutheran North.

   West Bloomfield hosts Farmington on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m.
